Integrated Computational Engineering

Overview

Several faculty at IIT Hyderabad (from Civil, Chemical, Material Science and Metallurgy, and Mechanical engineering) work on various length scales and multi-physics problems. This work includes simulations using density functional theory, molecular dynamics, discrete dislocation dynamics, crystal plasticity, phase-field, fracture mechanics, fatigue, plasticity, damage mechanics, micromechanics of defects, non-local methods, meshless methods, and conventional FEM connecting one scale to another. The rich diversity in the problems being studied at IITH along with the strong publications portfolio makes us an ideal destination for solutions in the Integrated Computational Engineering area.
